AMERICAN
CNVIRONMENTAL MANAGCMCNT CORP.
June 2 , 1986
Bob Huntley
Stockton Plating, Inc.
632 South E1 Dorado
Stockton, California 95206
Dear Bob:
It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday. The following des-
criptions of the options we discussed concerning your 1000
gallon fuel tank:
I. Close in place. This will require:
- Two slant borings under the tank.
- Analysis of the boring samples for contamination.
- Reporting results of the analysis.
- Assuming the analysis finds no contamination, fill
tank with mate ial to apse in place.
ScueRY
II. Remove tank. This requires:
- Excavation of tank.
- Transportation to our facility for decontamination and
eventual salvage as scrap.
- Sampling soil and analyzing for contamination.
- Assuming analysis shows no contamination, backfill
and resurface excavation area.
Assuming good clearance for drilling equipment Option I would
require an investment of $2 ,740 for the slant borings and
$1, 700 for filling in place.
Option II would require an investment of $3, 949. This would
also require adequate clearance for equipment operation.
A third option is to negotiate with the County to leak test
the tank. A leak test, which demonstrates the tank is not
leaking, would prove the tank has not contaminated the soil
under the tank. This option would be less disruptive to your
property and daily operations.
11855 WNte Rock toad.Rancho Cordova CalltorNa 95670/(9)6)9856666
