y
Steven Shih [EH]
From:
John Lynch [lynch@inreach.com]
Sent:
Monday, March 15, 2004 11:33 AM
To:
Steven Shih [EH]
Cc:
Shelly; Bill Morgan; Jeff Downs
Subject: Tracy Quick Freeze UST Removal Permit
Page 1 of 1
Steven,
Wright understands that the UST was used by the former property owner, last contained gasoline until 1972. The fuel
was for the delivery truck when there was a Ice Cream plant at the site. The tank size was 300 -gallons. The tank was
located at the SW corner of the former Ice Cream Building directly across from the SE corner of the DMV Building.
The former owner reportedly provided this information to the City of Tracy who recently acquired the property as
part of the new, City Hall Construction. The buildings have been demolished and the site is now clear of any above
ground structures and is mostly dirt with some pavement. The City desires to properly remove the UST under Permit.
Reportedly no evidence of a UST was discovered during the demolition of the buildings (no vent, no fill pipes). The
City contracted with another company to demolish the buildings.
There will be a parking lot where the Quick Freeze Building once stood.
I can be reached at 209-603-3394 (Cell)
Bill Morgan with the City can be reached at 831-4454 or his Cell 815-8492.
Thanks John Lynch
3/24/2004
