Geological Technics Inc. Page 4
Tank Closure Report
MCGranahan(Gawne Road)
Project No.251.0
December 9,1994
Geological Technics Inc. recommends the following actions be taken:
• A site investigation should be conducted to delineate the vertical and lateral
extent of the contamination. This would include at least four vertical
machine borings in the immediate area of the release.
• Once this investigative stage has been completed, the appropriate means by
_ which to mitigate the release can be determined.
• The trace to non-detect concentrations of BTEX in soils from on top of the
tank pit (sample #Stockpile) suggest that these soils have not been
significantly impacted by the hydrocarbon release. Geological Technics Inc.
recommends that these soil be disposal of on-site in an unregulated manner.
.
