• i
May 12, 1988
Wage Two
•
Pro oral
The proposal is to do preliminary drilling of about 5
boreholes to assess the depth and spread of the contamination.
It is not planned to extend the borings to groundwater if the
contamination is shallow.
If contamination is not shallow, then borings 3, 6 & 7 would
be extended 20 '+ into groundwater. Groundwater is estimated to
be 80 feet deep. Groundwater slope is unknown at this time but
will be investigated prior to drilling.
Wells
There are many wells in the area as shown on the attached
map. There is one well on the Pacific Bell site and one at the
Fire Station across Ashley Road. If possible, these wells will
be used to determine groundwater slope in place of Monitor Wells
#6 and 7.
Laboratory Analysis
Soil and water samples will be analyzed for TPH, BTX & E.
Proposed start date is June 1, 1988.
1 If you have any further questions or require additional
information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
,/James Elder, R.E.
