Continuous Monitoring <br />Vapor level and 02 level must be monitored continuously, either through <br />the entry hole or down the exhauster with the probe (at least 12" below <br />the exhauster into the fill pipe). Readings above 20% LEL or less than <br />19.5% 0., require work to cease, and technician to exit the tank, and an <br />investigation as to the source with subsequent correction. <br />9. Inspection <br />Inspeo,- the tank_. data on appropriate sheet. <br />10. Repair <br />If an agreement is reached and the tank is to be repaired, proceed as <br />follows: <br />A. The tank must be mechanically ventilated at all times. <br />S. Complete the Confined Space Entry Permit and post at each tank <br />entry hole. (Note: A new Confined Space Entry Permit is required <br />for each day's entry.) <br />C. Instruct the safety observer of his duties and emergency <br />procedures. <br />D. A safety harness with lifelines is required for hot tank entry. <br />E. Use of an air supplied mask and Egress air cylinder required unless <br />absolutely certain tank never had product in it. If an air -fed <br />mask is not used: <br />I) During grinding, goggles or a hood and an approved organic <br />respirator are to be worn. <br />2) During layup work, or at ares time resin is in the tank, goggles <br />and an approved organic respirator or a fresh air mask must be <br />worn. <br />
