Removal of Product-Delivery lines November 5, 1990
Former Exxon Station No. 7-1050, Stockton, California AGS 30045-1
of the site safety plan before work began. A copy of the plan was kept at the site and was
available for reference by appropriate parties during work. The geologist from Applied
GeoSystems acted as the Site Safety Officer.
Product Line Removal and Soil Sampline
As requested by Exxon, Applied GeoSystems arranged for a Class A licensed contractor to
remove the underground piping at the site. On August 27, 1990, an Applied GeoSystems
geologist observed the uncovering and removal of underground product-delivery lines and
vapor-recovery lines at the site by Don Lambert & Sons of Waterford, California. Ms.
Kasey Foley of the San Joaquin Public Health Services Department, Division of
Environmental Health, visited the site during removal of the lines and soil sampling. After
the lines were removed, the geologist examined the lines and observed no damage or visible
holes.
The geologist then collected 14 soil samples from the base of the trench approximately every
20 feet. Locations of these samples (1 through 14) are shown on the Soil Sample Location
Map (Plate P-3). The sample designation on Plate P-3 lists the depth of each soil sample
(see Table 1 for explanation).
w
4
Applied GeoSystems
