The responses are as follows:
1. Require third party approval for the under dispenser containment flex boots.
Response: Item Nos. 10 and 32, the isolation jackets have been revised to be Containment
Technologies Corporation. The model number is No. 450036. It is a 36 -inch -long flexible
connector containment boot. Please see the enclosed cut sheet. Note that the product is UL listed
and approved for installation with fuels.
2. Provide information on the leak detector on the turbine (i. e. 3 GPH).
Response: The Red Jacket CPT, 2 HP, variable speed turbine includes an electronic leak
detector rated at three gallons per minute. Please see the enclosed cut sheets from Red Jacket and
the excerpt from the California Water Resources Control Board, LG -113-12. Please note that the
LG -113-12 documentation is a misprint and the CPT electronic leak detector should be included
on that listing. The Board is currently revising that documentation to include the CPT detector.
3. Provide cut sheet information on the spill containment sumps at the fill locations on the tanks.
Response: See the enclosed cut sheets for the Pomeco 511B spill container used for the split
12,000/10,000 -gallon tank and the Pomeco 611G spill container used for the 20,000 -gallon tank.
4. Buoyancy Calculation: The plans show a 4 -foot minimum bury depth. The calculations show a
4.5 -foot bury depth. Please clarify.
Response: The buoyancy calculations will take precedence. Please add a note on the Conditions
of Approval to that effect. The tanks will more than likely be buried deeper than 4.5 feet;
however, we were trying to demonstrate compliance with a conservative calculation.
