Shut off the electricty to the pumps at the emergency <br /> pump switch" <br /> B. Determine if the alarm is an actual emergency or an <br /> equipment malfunction by pressing the system test <br /> button on the alarm panel" <br /> C. Determine if the release or threatened release poses a <br /> significant present or potential hazard to human <br /> health, safety, property or the environment by using <br /> the following criteria : <br /> 1" Employee safety" <br /> 2. Public Safety. <br /> 3. Quantity of released or potentially released <br /> material" <br /> 4. Off site consequences if any. <br /> 5" Material type and conditions of release" ( i. e. <br /> flammable liquid released into a storm drain etc. ) <br /> D" If the release or threatened release is determined to <br /> be significant, the day foreman or other employee ( if <br /> the foreman is not available) as soon as notification <br /> can be provided without impeding immediate control of <br /> the release and without impeding emergency medical <br /> measures will : <br /> 1. Notify employer. <br /> 2. Notify the administering agency by calling (209) 468- <br /> 3969 and the State warning center (800) 852-7550 and <br /> Jim Thorpe Oil, Inc. , Emergency response contractor <br /> (209) 368-6175. <br /> E. Include the following information-. <br /> 1 . Exact location of the release or threatened release. <br /> 2. Name of the person reporting the release or <br /> threatened release" <br /> 3. The hazardous material or materials involved. <br /> 4" Estimated quantities involved" <br /> 5^ The potential hazards presented by the material if <br /> known. <br />
