HS-601 <br /> 601. 0 CALIBRATION OF MONITORING INSTRUMENTS FOR HEALTH AND <br /> SAFETY <br /> 601. 1 PURPOSE <br /> It is essential that each piece of hazardous waste site <br /> monitoring equipment be calibrated on a routine basis. This <br /> assures that a given monitoring instrument is both working and <br /> working with a reasonable degree of accuracy. This procedure <br /> outlines required calibration frequencies and techniques. <br /> 601.2 FREQUENCY OF CALIBRATION <br /> The following instruments must be calibrated daily before <br /> use: <br /> 0 Combustible Gas Indicator (CGI) <br /> o Oxygen Meter <br /> 0 HNU Photoionization Detector (PI101) <br /> (As well as other photoionization detectors such as <br /> the Photovac TIP, AID OVM, etc. ) <br /> o Organic Vapor Analyzer (OVA) <br /> o Air Sampling Pumps (various flow rates) <br /> The following instruments require an annual factory <br /> calibration: <br /> o Radiation Survey Meter <br /> HAS-PR0601 HS-601-1 November 1990 <br />
