You must have a calibrated, explosion-proof combustible gas <br /> meter on site. <br /> a) LEL A= Oxygen must both be below 9% prior to removal, <br /> or <br /> b) Oxygen only, 5% on the oxygen for gasoline and diesel <br /> tanks, or <br /> c) LEL only, it on gasoline and diesel. j:=.1-.i'; <br /> d) Extra filters and equipment to calibrate instruments <br /> must be on site. <br /> e) Make and model number of instrument must be available <br /> to inspector. <br /> f) Appropriate measures are required to assure the LEL <br /> percentage is maintained during and after excavation. <br /> 1) Monitor tanks once per hour for LEL and Oxygen- <br /> after removal from ground while on site. yy <br /> 5. All tanks and connecting lines shall be purged of the product <br /> and rinsate material. Rinsate material shall be handled as a <br /> hazardous waste: <br /> a) Requirement for dry ice use: <br /> 1) 15 lbs. per 1, 000 gallon capacity for diesel tanks, <br /> 2) 30 lbs. per 1, 000 gallon capacity for gasoline tanks. <br />
