XE RXE 5®
a ZCL company
December 7, 2015
Re: Double-Wall Containment Sump Installation - Best Practices
To Whom It May Concern:
Xerxes best practices procedure regarding the sequence of when to introduce
monitoring fluid to a double wall sump interstice is as follows.
After assembling the containment sump, apply a vacuum of at least 10 inches of
mercury to the interstitial space of the containment sump. Maintain and monitor
the interstitial vacuum until the tank backfill and drive slab (if applicable)
construction has been completed and the tank is ready to be placed into service. At
that point, the interstitial vacuum should be released and the sump interstice filled
with monitoring fluid per Xerxes sump installation instructions.
Xerxes' Limited Warranty applies to tanks installed in accordance with the
provisions of Xerxes' current Installation Manual & Operating Guidelines. Since
Xerxes does not control the parameters of any installation or tank operation, our
sole responsibility is as stated in our Warranty.
Yours truly,
Jeffrey Lexvold
Sales Engineer
making a lasting difference TM
7901 Xerxes Avenue South • Minneapolis • Minnesota • United States • 55431-1288
Ph: 952-887-1890 • Fax: 952-887-1870 •Web: www.xerxes.com
