KLEINFELDER
File No. 23-4800-20.E00
August 26, 1994
WORKPLAN
PROPOSED TANK REMOVAL AND SAMPLING
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY GARAGE
130 NORTH HUNTER STREET /
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Kleinfelder is pleased to present this workplan to San Jo uin County. This workplan was
developed after discussions with Mr. Craig Ogata, an Is a preliminary understand of San
Joaquin County's desires. Meinfelder is committed to roviding a high level of service to its
clients, commensurate with their wants and needs. If portion of this workplan does not meet
the needs of San Joaquin County, or if those needs ve changed, Kleinfelder stands ready to
consider appropriate modifications subject to standard of care to which we adhere as
professional. Modifications such as changes in cope, methodology, scheduling, and contract
terms and conditions may result in changes to I/
risk assumed by San Joaquin County, as well
as adjustments to our fees. We look forward the opportunity to serve you.
The San Joaquin County Garage is looted at 130 North Hunter Street in Stockton, California.
The facility stor/analysis.
services San J aquin County vehicles. Two approximately 8,000 -gallon
and 1,000-galloground fuel orage tanks (USTs) are present at the site which have not
_ been used sincerage's clos' g early in the 1970's, respectively. The tanks were used to
supply gasoline County ehicles that were used by County personnel. According to a
recent sticking outhe ost tank, it is likely that both USTs are within approximately
two feet of the gurfac and are nearly empty.
Kleinfelder has e a workplan to conduct environmental services for two USTs. This
workplan includ' es to remove and dispose of two USTs and sample native soil beneath
the tanks for laanalysis. Upon removal, the tanks will be properly transported to a
State-approvedisposal facility. If petroleum hydrocarbons are detected in the initial
sampling, additiil or water assessment may be required. That additional assessment is
not included in this workplan.
ETH.-md 7EI94
Copyright 1994 Kleinfelder, Inc.
Page I of 5
