I
December 12, 1990
Fred Proby
Time Oil Co.
2737 W. Commodore Way
Seattle, WA 98199-1233
RE: Analytical results of soil samples collected after the
removal of six underground fuel storage tanks.
Dear Mr. Proby:
Enclosed you will find the analytical results from
the soil samples collected after the removal of one 12,000
gallon unleaded fuel tank (Tank 2), one 10,000 gallon leaded
fuel tank (Tank 1), one 6,000 premium unleaded fuel tank
(Tank 3), and three 1,000 gallon tanks with no record of
previous content (Tanks 4,5,6). The tanks were all removed
from the former Jackpot mini -mart site, 13475 Jack Tone Road,
Lodi, California (Figure 1 - Site Map).
Tanks 1, 2, and 3 appeared to be in good condition
after removal, with no visible perforations and only minor
exterior rust. The three older 1,000 gallon tanks were
observed to be in fair condition, with no visible
perforations, although the exterior of the tanks were heavily
oxidized. The soil directly beneath Tanks 1 and 2 appeared
discolored and moist compared to the surrounding soil, but it
was undetermined if this was a sign of leakage or conden-
sation from the vapor purging process. The pit containing
Tanks 4, 5, and 6 showed no obvious signs of contamination,
but the tank cradle was rusty.
ETS ENVIRONMENTAL & ASSOC.
PROJECT 309B, PAGE 1
