Subsurface Environmental Investigation September 28, 1988
ARCO Service Station No. 4932, Stockton, California AGS 38051-1
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Results of laboratory analyses indicate that levels of petroleum
hydrocarbons, PCBs, halogenated volatile organics, and the
volatile organic constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and
total xylene isomers present below the former tank location are
below laboratory detection limits. Concentrations of the heavy
metals cadmium, chromium, lead, and zinc are below action levels
recommended by the California Department of Health Services. In
the opinion of Applied GeoSystems, no further site assessment or
contamination mitigation work is necessary in the vicinity of the
waste -oil tank.
LIMITATIONS
This report was prepared in accordance with generally accepted
standards of environmental geological practice in California at
the time this investigation was performed. This investigation
was conducted solely for the purpose of evaluating environmental
conditions of the soil with respect to contamination in the
vicinity of the former waste -oil storage tank. No soil
engineering or geotechnical references are implied or should be
inferred. Evaluation of the geologic conditions at the site for
0
Applied GeoSystems
