SITE SAFETY PLAN <br /> 7 .0 WORK ZONES AND SECURITY MEASURES <br /> The following general work zone security guidelines should be <br /> implemented: <br /> " Excavations shall be closed when sampling activities <br /> are not actually taking place . <br /> " No excavations shall be left unattended. Visitors will <br /> not enter the work zone unless they have attended a <br /> project safety briefing. <br /> " Visitors who do not have business related to the <br /> project will be excluded from the site . <br /> 8. 0 GENERAL SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> TOM MEHRINGER CONSTRUCTION, INC . (TMCI ) is responsible for the <br /> safety of all TMCI employees on-site. Each contractor shall <br /> provide all the equipment necessary to meet safe operating <br /> practices and procedures for their personnel on-site (this <br /> includes respirators, cartridges, eye protection, hearing <br /> protectors ) and be responsible for the safety of their <br /> workers. All general safety guidelines and procedures will <br /> conform to: <br /> . . . 29 CFP. 1910. 120• <br /> . . . Standard Operating Safety Guides (U. S . E. P . A. , NOV, 1984 ) <br /> TMCI will update versions of these safety guidelines and <br /> procedures if changes in the Operations Plan occur. <br /> TMCI will utilize a "three war,iing" system to arnforce <br /> compliance with Health and Safety procedures as follows : <br /> . . . First infraction - violator receives a verb;: warning. <br /> . . . Second infraction of same rule - violator recieiv,�s a <br /> written warning. <br /> . . .
