It may
be installed in sumps, dispenser pans, steel doable wall tanks, or other
where the presence of liquid indicates a leak has occurred. The
TSP-ULS is based on float -switch technology and is made of chemicaliy
resistant materials to assure ccmpatibilitywith most liquids. Each sensor
is supplied with a 25 foot cable and is compatible with standard electrical
boxes and fittings. The TSP-ULS's normally dosed output circuit provides
supervised operation, ensuring that broken wiresandsimiiarfailures will
not go undetected.
APPLICATION
T1=! r -ULS maybe installed in sumps and in interstitial spaces in steel
doueie walItanks, A 112 -inch NFT thread is providedon the compression
gland fitting (cord grip) attached to the sensor's cable, allowing it to be
suspended from standard electrical boxes and fittings. In typical
applications, the TSP-ULS is screwed into a conduit opening on the
bottom of a junction box located on a sump wail. The sensor may be
positioned vertically by loosening the gland fitting and adjusting the
lencth of the cable extending from it- In steel interstitial tanks the TSP -
L" -" s>wered into the opening provided on the tank, and is suspended
from the optional TSP -K[2 installation kit. Many other mounting methods
are possibfe allowing the TSP-ULS to be used in a wide variety of
applications and locations.
ORDER PART NUMBER:
'+ F_ATHEI9PA(X
JUNCTION SC
CONDUIT
TSP
by,
TANK SENTINEL.°
THEORY OF OPERATION
The secret to the TSP-ULS's reliability and low cast is its float switch
technology- A small magnetically activated reed switch is located inside
the body of the sensor, Tiny magnets are positioned inside a lightweight
float which is free to move up and down along the shaft of the TSP-ULS.
If the sensor is dry, the f loat hangs down on the shaft so that the magnets
are below the read switch. When the sensor is immersed in liquid, the
float rises, and the magnet activates the reed switch. The reed switch
opening is used to indicate whether the sensor is wet or dry.
Evaluated for Use as
associated equipment with
INCONs U•l,. listed
consoles.
C
INTELLIGENT _-QNTROLS INC.
PA Box 638 - co, ME 04072 USA
800-833-8 1207-283-0156
Fax- 283-0158
