Name and address of site: 1UI >4 198J
429 W. Lockeford, Lodi, Ca. 95240 ENVI ROMEN
ConVal Food Store PERM1
Contact person: Mardee Kidd (owner) 7/SERV C SETH
2. Scale drawings - see attached.
3. History of site:
Two underground fuel tanks were installed around 1970. They were one
250 gallon regular and one 500 gallon unleaded, About 7 or 8 years ago the
tanks were no longer being used. The tanks were removed May 1987 by Jim
Thorpe Oil, Inc. of Lodi. (see attached documents.) The soil analysis re-
port show signs of contamination. (see attached soil report.) This soil
remediation workplan is to determine the extent of the contamination.
4. Ground water 42-45 feet, Reff: City of Lodi, Sharon. Phone (20.9)_
333-6740. Total amount of dirt to be excavated by back hoe operation is
approximately 19.99 cubic yards. All dirt will be placed back in the hole
upon completion of soil sampling. Hole will be lined with plastic 30-60
mil thickness prior to back fill.
5. Remedial steps to be taken to clean up the soil contamination may con-
sist of aeration by backhoe of the contaminated soil, if permitted by the
county. If not allowed to areate the contaminated soil, then the contmA,
nated soil will be removed to the contaminated land fill in Buttonwillow,
California.
6. However, North Cal Construction has no contract with Mar Val Food
Store to haul any contaminated soil from this job site. We are only con-
tracted to obtain the required samples and assist in defining the amount
of contamination on the job site.
7. Depending on weather of unforseen problems, the work shoud be completed
in 10 working days,
8. The soil analysis will be handled by Nelson/FGL Environmental, 3948
Budweiser Court, Stockton, California.
