BUSINESS RESPONSE PLAN <br /> NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES FOR: USA Gasoline Station # 65 <br /> FACILITIES WILL BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE COUNTY'S DESIGNATED EMERGENCY RESPONSE <br /> PERSONNEL. WHEN A RELEASE IS OBSERVED OR ANTICIPATED THE FOLLOWING STEPS WILL <br /> BE TAKEN: <br /> 1 ) Initially, determine the existence or potential existence of <br /> hazardous material where unidentified substance or vapors are involved in <br /> these incidents it is always prudent to assume they are toxic or hazardous <br /> until determined otherwise. <br /> 2 ) Immediately, it is imperative to ascertain the location of any <br /> incident involving azardous materials and contact Business Emergency Services <br /> coordinator and make the appropriate dispatch of emergency equipment. <br /> 3 ) The Business Emergency coordinator or his designer, will contact 911 <br /> and the County Health Dept. who will initiate the Emergency Response Plan. <br /> 4 ) Scene management shall be the responsibility of the Emergency <br /> coordinator until the arrival of Public Safety Response personnel. In such an <br /> instance the business emergency coordinator will cooperate with and support <br /> the lawfully designated Scene Manager. <br /> 5 ) Protection of Scene - it is imperative to protect responders and by <br /> standers from injury or contamination. Personnel first on the scene should <br /> immediately take steps to secure the area and establish perimeter control at <br /> a safe distance until such time as agency personnel (e.g. Police or fire) <br /> arrive and assume this responsibility. <br /> 6) Evacuation - The scene management officer must determine if there is <br /> any potential danger to individuals in the area and take steps to notify and <br /> evacuate. Assistance will normally be furnished by Law Enforcement Agencies. <br /> In major incidents, county and or city officials will be involved. In major <br /> incidents evacuation, reception and care will be followed as described by <br /> county Major Disaster Plan. <br /> 7 ) Clean-up - it is USA Policy to be responsible for clean-up either by <br /> company employees or by approved contractor. <br /> 8) Decontamination - Steps must be taken to decontaminate all victims. <br /> Local hospitals have facilities to assist. Care must be taken to avoid <br /> spread. <br /> 9 ) Emergency Medical Response - When needed USA Petroleum Response Team <br /> Leader should contact 911 in time of medical alert. <br /> All questions regarding this Business Plan should be directed to <br /> 909.622 .3424 . <br /> iv <br />
