Tracer Research Corporation
INTRODUCTION
Horizon Engineering and Tracer Research Corporation performed Tracer Tight® leak
testing of 3 underground storage tanks at the USA Petroleum#65 site in Lodi, CA. The tanks
were inoculated with tracer on March 20, 1992, to a concentration of approximately 10 ppm.
Samples were collected on April 15, 1992. The following table shows the tank size, type of
tracer in each tank, fuel through put factor in the first 72 hours after inoculation and total amount
of tracer introduced into each tank:
TANK SIZE(GAL) TRACER FACTOR AMOUNT(G)
Tank 1 12,000 FB 1 200
Tank 2 12,000 DA 1 250
Tank 3 12,000 FB 1 200
The following table shows the type of product in the tank, the product level and the water
level in each tank measured in inches at time of inoculation and sampling.
Al INOCULATION AT SAMPLING
TANK# PRODUCT H2Q PRODUCT 112Q PRODUCT
Tank l Plus 0.00 79.50 0.00 72.00
Tank 2 Unleaded 0.50 65.00 0.00 89.00
Tank 3 Premium 1.38 63.00 2,50 78.00
The depth to water in the tank pit was determined to be>25 feet below grade. The
groundwater conditions were stable.
- 1 -
