.BUSINESS RESPONS01PLAN <br /> NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES FOR: USA Gasoline Station # 65 <br /> FACILITIES WILL BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE COUNTY S DESIG- <br /> NATED EMERGENCY RESPONSE PERSONNEL. WHEN ARELEASE <br /> ISOBSERVED OR ANTICIPATED THE FOLLOWING STEPS WILL BE <br /> TAKEN: <br /> 1) Initially, determine the existence or potential existence of <br /> hazardous material where unidentified substance or vapors are <br /> involved in these incidents it is always prudent to assume they are <br /> toxic or hazardous until determined otherwise. <br /> 2) Immediately, it is imperative to ascertain the location of any <br /> incident involving azardous materials and contact Business Emer- <br /> gency Services coordinator and make the appropriate dispatch of <br /> emergency equipment. <br /> 3) The Business Emergency coordinator or his designer, will <br /> contact 911 and the County Health Dept. who will initiate the <br /> Emergency Response Plan. <br /> 4) Scene management shall be the responsibility of the Emer- <br /> gency coordinator until the arrival of Public Safety Response <br /> personnel. In such an instance the business emergency coordinator <br /> will cooperate with and support the lawfully designated Scene <br /> Manager. <br /> 5) Protection of Scene - it is imperative to protect responders <br /> and by standers from injury or contamination. Personnel first on the <br /> scene should imm ediately take steps to secure the area and establish <br /> perimeter control at a safe distance until such time as agency <br /> personnel (e.g. Police or fire) arrive and ass um e this responsibility. <br /> 6) Evacuation - The scene management officer must determine <br /> if there is any potential danger to individuals in the area and take <br /> WRP PG.$2 <br />
