DELICATO
VINEYARDS
January 15, 1991
Mr. Charles E. Hunt
Environmental Health Specialist
Public Health Services
San Joaquin County ; j4jV
P. 0. Box 2009 IVV/&O/' I
Stockton, California 95201 pf
RMITic
Dear Mr. Hunt:
Please reference your Official Inspection Report, dated
12/4/90, regarding a failed precision test on July 18, 1986
for a diesel fuel tank, and a failed precision test on June
10, 1988 for a unleaded fuel tank.
The responsibility for annual testing and daily monitoring of
the underground fuel tanks at the time of the aforementioned
precision testing rested with Neal Wright, a supervisor in
our maintenance department. Mr. Wright retired from Delicato
in August of 1990 and upon review of his files, we could find
no additional documentation related to these items.
To the best of my knowledge, the cause for the failing of the
precision testing of these systems resided in the above-
ground pump plumbing, and was corrected and retested
successfully shortly thereafter. Also, to the best of my
knowledge, there has been no contamination of soil as a
result of these plumbing issues. As you may be aware,
subsequent annual full system testing of these specific tanks
have offered results which were within state guidelines.
Thank you for your attention!
Best regards,
Delicato Vineyards
Jajerk Indelicato
Purchasing Manager
JAI:js
12001 South Highway 99, • Manteca, California 95336-9209 • B.W. 4094
(209) 239-1215, (209) 982-0679 9 FAX (209) 239-8031
