EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN <br />UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK MONITORING PROGRAM <br />This monitoring program must be kept at the UST location at all times. The information on this monitoring <br />program are conditions of the operating permit. The permit holder mustnotify San Joaquin County Emergency <br />Services within 30 days of any changes to the monitoring procedures, unless required to obtain approval before <br />making the change. Required by Sections 2632(d) and 2641(h) CCR. <br />Facility Name: 7 Eleven Store <br />#32190 <br />Facility Address 4943 S. Kingsley, Stockton CA <br />1. If an unauthorized release occurs, how will the hazardous substance be cleaned up? Note: If released <br />hazardous substances reach the environment, increase the fire or explosion hazard, are not cleaned up <br />from the secondary containment within 8 hours, or deteriorate the secondary containment, then San <br />Joaquin County Emergency Services must be notified within 24 hours. <br />In case of a gasoline spill- Small gasoline spills will be picked up with absorbent material by employees <br />using safety equipment. Waste will be placed in a drum for proper disposal. For large spills Employees <br />will activate the emergency shut-off ,Contact 911 and 7 -Eleven Dispatch, and, if safe, will attempt to <br />prevent the spill from entering storm drains or migrating off-site by placing absorbent material in front <br />of the leading edge of the spill. Employees will be notified to evacuate if deemed necessary. A contractor <br />will be contacted to remove the spill as necessary. <br />In case of a small carbon dioxide release- the tank will be visually inspected for obvious signs of the <br />release point. If possible the control valve will be shut off. In the case of a large release of carbon <br />dioxide, employees will be notified to evacuate and Contact 911 and 7 -Eleven Dispatch. <br />In case of fire- the alarm will be sounded by shouting "Fire" and the building will be evacuated. <br />Employees will contact 911 and assemble at the designated assembly area as depicted on the site map. If <br />safe, employees will shut off power and control fire using fire extinguishers. <br />2. Describe the proposed methods and equipment to be used for removing and properly disposing of any <br />hazardous substances. <br />Small gasoline spills will be picked up with absorbent material by employees using safety equipment. <br />Waste will be placed in a drum for proper disposal.
