Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
SUBJECT: INVOICE FOR UNDERGROUND TANK PERMITS
Dear Accounting Supervisor:
We have received your attached invoice dated December 12, 1997 for Underground Storage Tank Permit
Fees. In a conversation with a representative of the Environmental Health Division around the time the
invoice was first received, we were told that the permit fees ($1,038.50) would not be due if the tanks
were removed prior to February 1, 1998..
We wish to inform you that all underground tanks operated by the Northern California Youth Correctional
Center are removed. At the time the tanks were removed Letitia Briggs, Senior Registered
Environmental Health Specialist witnessed the "pulling" or removal of the tanks. The rinsed tanks were
shipped to a local scrap yard for recycling.
Since the underground tanks described in your invoice no longer exist, we request fees elimination by
your office.
If there are questions or comments about the underground tank invoice, please call me at (209)-944-5351
or write to us in care of Plant Operations with the above address.
Thank you for your consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
Benjamin J.
