f. Backfilling and Compaction <br />Since no chemical hazards are anticipated during this phase <br />there is no need for chemical protective measures. While <br />traffic control barriers are to remain in place, the internal <br />contamination control zones can be removed. The excavation <br />safety requirements described in this plan will apply. <br />Minimum protective clothing for this phase of operations is <br />the same as previously prescribed, (Level D). <br />VII. Personal Injury Emergencies <br />In the event of an emergency situation, immediate action must be <br />taken by the first person to recognize the event. The First Aid <br />Kit is located in the company vehicle designated as the emergency <br />vehicle. Ingestion <br />Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by <br />emergency medical personnel. Note the ingested <br />substance (bring the container if possible and. <br />immediately transport to the Hospital, or call <br />emergency response services at 911. <br />2). Inhalation <br />If you can do so without harming yourself, move the <br />injured worker away from the source of the <br />contaminant. If breathing has stopped, perform <br />artificial respiration on the victim. If the heart <br />has stopped perform CPR. Call for emergency <br />response services 911 immediately. <br />D-7 <br />
