MOORE SERVICES, INIP.
',l_ drN- '. 2403 E. Belmont Avenue
MSI 94-20-01
Fresno, California 93701
License #489171
(209) 441-0627 -1 '.! "t : 6
August 10, 1994
Mrs. Pamela S. Violett
Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Department of Public Health
Environmental Health Division
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
RE: Ammendment to contractor data to the submitted Underground Storage Tank(UST)
Closure Permit Application and submission of preliminary analytical results of soil
samples collected at San Joaquin Delta College, 5151 Pacific Avenue, Stockton,
California for review; MSI 94-20-01
Dear Mrs. Violett,
Because of the timeliness required for the availability of the analytical results of the
three confirmatory soil samples collecseelect d the
a contractawith Pan-Ag Labs, CAL-EPA
ation at the above-referenced
site, Moore Services, Inc. (MSI) has
Hazardous Waste Laboratory No. 1973, on this project. MSI has notified Mrs. Toni
Cardinale, Risk Manager, San Joaquin Delta College of the ammendment.
This ammendment was necessary because Fall classes begin at the College on 15
August 1994. Pan-Ag is able to provide results of all analytes several days sooner than
Sherwood. Ideally, the public safety considerations and "open hole" hazard will be
precluded due to this contractor change.
The stockpiled soils, which were observed to be impacted with used oil, are currently
being chemically profiled by Pan-Ag and will be manifested and transported offsite by a
qualified waste hauler. Based on the results of this profiling, and the soils are deemed to
be non-RCRA waste, Kroeker, Inc. will transport the soils to Forward, Inc. Landfill in
Stockton, California. In the event the soils are regulated under RCRA, the soils (waste)
will be transported by Jervicon, Inc. to Laidlaw, Inc. in Buttonwillow, California.
Jervicon's U.S. DOT hazardous waste hauler certification No. 2636; U.S. EPA
Identification is CAD982519209.
1
