0 • 2.0 PROJECT SAFETY PERSONNEL 2.1 Safety Personnel The Project Consultant is responsible for the preparation of this Health and Safety Plan, and is to monitor compliance with provisions herein of its personnel, subcontractors and visitors to the site. The Project Consultant is responsible for the distribution of this health and safety plan. The Project Managers and/or Project Consultant are responsible for the compliance of the Health and Safety Plan. The Project Consultant is responsible for delivering the plan and any addenda to all Sub-Contractor's Project Managers' and for advising them on the health and safety provisions of this plan. Any Sub-Contractor's Project Manager's with the approval of the Project Consultant, can suspend work or modify work practices for safety reasons, and to dismiss individuals whose conduct on-site endangers the health and safety of others. The Project Managers' are responsible for distributing the plan to all field personnel under their jurisdiction and to an authorized representative from each firm contracted to assist with on-site work. The Project Managers' are also responsible for implementing the provisions of this plan and its addenda. Implementation will include training of field personnel involved with the project, and provision for the appropriate safety equipment. The Project Consultant is responsible for assisting the Project Managers' with on-site implementations of this Health and Safety Plan. His responsibilities include: 1) inspecting safety equipment supplies, 2) performing air quality measurements when required or needed, 3) directing decontamination operations and emergency response operations, 4) setting up work zone markers and signs if such zones are specified in the Health and Safety Plan, and 5) reporting all accidents or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
