The items of concern you've listed below are correct. As for the last item#4, in the original workplan (page
2)it was stated the vent/return piping will be replaced with new double wall FRP piping if it fails secondary re-test. In that
case SJCEHD will condition (which will be stated in the final permit approval)inspection"during"the pipe removal, so we can
observed that in real time as the piping comes out, whether if there is signs of contamination, and if so, sampling will be required.
It's best that you include the ventlretrun piping in the sampling protocol as contingency based on field conditions.
Also, please refrain from using languages such as "assume that no response means that you concur with the above". SJCEHD
does not accept inspection scheduling, permit application, amendment or addendum to permit applicaiton by email. Any service
request, amendment or addendum to permit application must be done in writing and in triplicates.
Best Regards,
Jeff
From: Brown, Chris [mailto:Chris.Brown@stantec.com]
Sent:Thursday, February 18, 2010 9:20 AM
To:Jeff Wong [EH]
Cc: SATRE, RODRICK(ATTSI); HARRELL, LARRY(ATTSI); NAUMANN, VYRL(ATTSI); ls936g@att.com; Ric Collins;
Delnagro, Rob
Subject: AT&T Facility(UE042); 345 N San Joaquin, Stockton - Pfping modification/repair permit application
Hi Jeff,
I apologize for the duplicate e-mail but I failed to request a delivery receipt for my records so I am sending this to you
again. I'm following upon our telephone conversation from yesterday(2-17-10)to confirm the additional items you
requested pertaining to the piping modifications permit submittal for the subject site. Below are the items you requested.
Please confirm if these are all the items you need:
1) Revise language in sampling protocol prepared by Shaw Environmental to indicate exactly where the samples will
be collected from (i.e. "1-2 feet beneath the piping");
2) Revise language in sampling protocol prepared by Shaw Environmental to indicate that analytical results will be
transmitted directly to the SJCEHD by McCampbell Analytical instead of Shaw transmitting the results via e-mail;
3) Provide 3 copies of all information submitted;
4) You will check with your supervisor and advise me if sampling will be required beneath the vent piping to be
replaced. If it is required we will revise the sampling protocol accordingly.
Please acknowledge and agree by responding to this e-mail; OR,AT&T will assume that no response means that you
concur with the above. If I have missed any items please provide them in your response. Thanks.
Chris Brown
Project Manager
Stantac
2/19/2410
