That invoice states that it is the second notice.
In discussing this matter with my clients, they advised me that
they never received a first notice of the invoice for the sum of
$3, 752 . 00. They were astounded to receive what was characterized
as a second notice.
In reviewing the invoice with my clients, they are not sure as to
what the bill represents. I presume the bill relates somehow to
the tanks that were removed from the real property located at
1514 East Scotts Avenue in Stockton, California.
For your information, my clients purchased the property in
October, 1982 . The property was sold in September, 1988. During
that time, my clients did not install the underground tanks on
the property which have recently been removed. In fact, they did
not even know the tanks existed until they were found quite
recently by the current owner who advised them of the situation.
For that reason, they are innocent owners as it relates to
responsibility of the tanks that were removed from 1514 East
Scotts.
