(GeoAudit) collected five soil samples from two excavations
and stockpiled soil at 443 Sycamore Street in Manteca, California (the site).
Two 1,000-gallon leaded gasoline underground storage tanks were excavated from the site
by the property owner without permit. On September 14, 1994, the tanks were removed
from the site under permit by Stockton Service Station. Soil samples were then collected
from the excavations and soil stockpile.
Samples IE 6.5 and 1W 6.5 were collected from the east and west ends of the northern
excavation at depths of 6.5 feet. Samples 2W 5.5 and 2E 5.5 were collected from the west
and east ends of the southern excavation at depths of 5.5 feet. Sample SP was collected from
the stockpiled soil.
All samples were preserved in brass sleeves and transported under chain-of-custody
procedure to McCampbell Analytical, Inc. in Pacheco, California, for analysis. Samples were
analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH as gasoline), volatile aromatics (BTE&X)
and total lead. Copies of the laboratory report and chain-of-custody are attached.
Full Spectrum Environmental Services • Hydrogeology
