SECOR
International Incorporated
May 10, 1999
Project 7G600-042-01
Ms. Lori Duncan
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
304 East Weber Avenue
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Addendum to Work Plan for Soil Sampling during
Product Lina/Dispenser Upgrade
ARCO Service Station#4932
16 East Harding Way
Stockton, California
Dear Ms. Duncan:
On behalf of ARCO Products Company(ARCO), SECOR International Incorporated
(SECOR) has prepared this addendum to SECOR's Work Plan for Soil Sampling during
Product Line/Dispenser Upgrades, dated April 13, 1999. The purpose of this addendum is
to notify the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) of a
change to the scope of the construction work outlined in the referenced work plan. In
addition to upgrading the product lines, the underground storage tanks (USTs)will also be
replaced. Compliance soil sampling procedures, excavated soil management, limited over-
excavation procedures, and laboratory methods are summarized in the original work plan
with only the following changes:
• The vertical extent of the over-excavation in the area of the USTs will be based on the
limits of the excavation equipment, likely 18 to 20 feet below ground surface.
Over-excavation, if performed, will still be limited to approximately 50 to 200 cubic
yards of soil.
• SECOR anticipates initiating field activities during May 1999.
If there are any questions regarding the contents of this work plan, please call us at (916)
364-1880.
Sincerely,
SECOR International Incorporated
ROr
E. Benkosky,
Associate Engineer
cc: Mr. Paul Supple, ARCO Products Company
9912 Business Park Drive, Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95827 (916)364-1880 (916)364-1889 Fax www.secor.com
