I will expand somewhat on
that watter at this tine .
In August , 1989 our District had a 10 , 004 gallon underground
fuel tank removed because it would not pass a leak test as
required by Sar-, Joaquin County . Soil from the excavation was
Stockpiled on site and the excavation was backfilled with pea
gravel . A 1.2 inch pipe extending fror. the bottor of the pit to
the surface was set in place prior to the hackfill with an access
cover placed at the top . Soil samples were token at the time of
removal and sent to a testing laboratory . The test results
indicated some contamination an cf the _sc.- . 1 . Comes of those
laboratory tests are included herewith fcr your information . The
stockpiled soil was subsequently aerated and spread out at the
0te in accordance with the :-requirements of the Say: Joaquin
County Air Pollution Control District .
Our District has chosen tc mitigate any remaining site
contamination left in the ground at the site of the removed tank;
V ecmp] ying with the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department ' s Pilot Program . It is our desire to have the County
confirm that we have a "clean site" at the end of our cleanup
process. . One of the first steps in this process is to request
propasa 2 r fram consultant; for mitigation mea sures for our site
that are consistent with the County ' s Policies and cost Effective
to our District .
