PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> Fact Sheet <br /> Pending Case Closure for Leaking Underground Storage Tank Site <br /> Cbnsiderw}ion by <br /> Broadbent & Associates, on behalf of the S n Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD), invites public comment regarding the SJCEHD to grant regulatory closure for the <br /> leaking underground storage tank (LUST) case at the below subject site (Site). <br /> SUBJECT SITE: <br /> Site Name: ARCO Station No. 4932 GeoTracker Global ID No. T0607700237 <br /> Site Address: 16 E. Harding Way, Stockton SJCEHD Site Code: 1136 <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: 60 Days — February 21 — April 21, 2014 <br /> CASE SUMMARY: <br /> The SJCEHD, in cooperation with the property owner, Ms. Sukhwinder Kaur, the responsible party, <br /> Atlantic Richfield Company (a BP affiliated Company), and environmental consultant, Broadbent & <br /> Associates, Inc., have evaluated soil and groundwater conditions, and health concerns at the subject Site <br /> resulting from historical unauthorized releases of gasoline from an underground storage tank (UST) <br /> system and from fueling operations. The UST system, consisting of three 14499 aellon USTs and <br /> associated piping, were removed from the Site during the facility upgrades conducte '1999. <br /> in ort-31+e and OPP-s:+e /a,000 <br /> Soil and groundwater investigation and monitoring werec�nducted from May 1999 to December 2013. <br /> Gasoline hydrocarbons were detected in on-site soil an groundwater. Active remediation of soil and <br /> groundwater was conducted during this period. On the basis of groundwater monitoring and previous <br /> and current investigations, the SJCEHD concluded that the Site status is protective of the environment <br /> and of human health for current and future Site use and for adjacent off-site areas.
