(3) spill prevention and response procedures, (4) source control measures, (5) general storm <br /> water management practices, (6) employee training, (7) inspections and record keeping, and (8) <br /> elimination and prevention of non-storm water discharges. <br /> INTRODUCTION TO THE SWPP PLAN <br /> The Robertson-Ceco Corp. Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPP) Plan has been developed <br /> and implemented as directed by Robertson-Ceco Corp. management to comply with the <br /> requirements of Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 122, 123, and 124 and the <br /> requirements of the NPDES General Permit. <br /> The Robertson-Ceco Corp. SWPP Plan identifies potential sources of pollution which may <br /> reasonably be expected to affect the quality of storm water discharges associated with industrial <br /> activities. In addition, the Plan describes and ensures the implementation of practices which are <br /> used to reduce the pollutants in storm water discharges associated with industrial activity and to <br /> assure compliance with the terms and conditions of the General Permit. <br /> The ERT at Robertson-Ceco Corp. is responsible for amending the SWPPP whenever there is <br /> a change in design, construction, operations, or maintenance which has a significant effect on <br /> the potential for the discharge of pollutants to surface waters, ground.waters, or a local agency's <br /> storm water system. <br /> SOURCE IDENTIFICATION <br /> Robertson-Ceco Corp. is metal building parts manufacturer (SIC Code 3499) located on a <br /> topographically flat area with no significant gradients. The front of the facility is bounded by <br /> Brandt Road. Water run off from the facility is discharged into a drainage ditch which runs <br /> along the perimeter of the yard, and the ditch drains to a pond located in the front of the facility. <br /> When the pond is full, storm water is pumped to two covered San Joaquin County storm drains <br /> up-gradient of the pond (see map). <br /> Potential sources include roof drains, roof sheet flow and paved surfaces on the facility. <br /> Potential sources at the Robertson-Ceco Corporation include run off from: 1) roofed hazardous <br /> materials and waste storage of: 300 gallons waste oil and 1000 gallons of virgin diesel fuel <br /> 2) outside storage of ten 300 gallon double contained totes of paint, 3) interior storage of: <br /> (machine shop) 1-55 gallon hydraulic fluid drum, 1-55 gallon transmission fluid, 5-55 gallon <br /> virgin oil drums, 3-5 gallon oil containers, aerosols in a flammable cabinet, and six batteries, <br /> (shop building) 1-55 gallon drum of oil, 4) outside parking of nine fork lifts, one semi truck and <br /> two pick up trucks, and 5) interior parts painting operations. No solvents, underground tanks <br /> or fueling equipment facilities are present. <br />
