the on-site spill response- team.
B. Non-Reportable Spill
A non-reportable hazardous materials spill is one that:
1.Does not escape to the environment.
2.Will not pose a health risk to individuals in the immediate area.
3.Can be controlled and contained with on-hand spill response materials
appropriate to the task.
4.The properties of the material are well known to the person(s) to be controlling
and containing the spill.
5.The person(s) controlling and containing the spill have had appropriate training.
6.To control and contain the spill requires less than 1/2 hour for two people.
7.Record the event.
In the event of a small, non-reportable (but still recordable) spill:
1.Contain and control the spill with available appropriate spill response
equipment.
2.Manage spill containment materials as hazardous waste.
3.Record the event.
Put pans under leaks to collect fluids for proper recycling or disposal. The most common causes of accidental releases:
a)Wherever hazardous materials are used or stored, appropriate spill response
