Based
upon our current assumptions with regard to the
nature of the project, we are in agreement with the
scope of the proposed work and, subject to the
following proposed modifications, believe the plan
is acceptable.
1. The health and safety plan should include a
map of the area with the route to the nearest
hospital clearly marked. The health and
safety plan must be kept on-site during the
proposed investigation activities.
2 . It is important to assure that the sample of
the contaminated material from within the pond
is representative of the wastes disposed of in
the pond. If possible, the sample should show
visible signs of contamination and shoould be
free of large pieces of debris such as rock,
clumps of clay, metal, etc. A photograph of
the sample should be taken.
3. For comparison purposes, a background sample
should be obtained and analyzed for metals and
pesticides. A travel blank should also be
included with the water sample in order to
assure that the sample is not contaminated in
transit. A duplicate sample of one of the
boring samples should be submitted for
analysis. We also recommend retaining
additional sample material for a period of
time in case the need for reanalysis arises.
DA.m
DAA W.027
Piin,eE on flttyclep Peper
