Sample S1 is the sludge composite from <br /> the drainage pipe. The other two samples are from the trench. All of the bioassays passed. Based <br /> on our review of the results,the sludge does not appear to be a hazardous material according to state <br /> and federal standards. <br /> I spoke with Duncan Austin (DTSC) regarding the project. He indicated for this initial phase of <br /> investigation, they will tank a subordinate role to S.J. Environmental Health. If the initial investigation <br /> determines we are dealing with hazardous materials within the drainage pit, DTSC would then take a <br /> lead role.
