Box 3608 <br /> Harrisburg, PA 17105-3608 <br /> REVIEW OF FINAL PRELIMINARY ENDANGERMENT ASSESSMENT % <br /> REPORT, TYCO ELECTRONICS CORPORATION, STOCKTON <br /> EPA ID NUMBER CAD109227496 <br /> Dear Mr. Foster: <br /> The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has finished the review of the <br /> Final Preliminary Endangerment Assessment Report (PEA Report) dated August 2007, <br /> for Tyco Electronics Corporation (Tyco) located at 1950 West Fremont Street, Stockton, <br /> California 95203 (Site). The PEA Report was prepared by Earth Tech, Inc. located in <br /> San Jose, California. <br /> Background: <br /> Tyco and its predecessor companies (Sigma Circuits and Citation Circuits) <br /> manufactured printed circuit board at the Site since 1985. In May 2001, Tyco <br /> ceased its manufacturing operations and commenced closure activities. In <br /> June 2002, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health referred to DTSC the <br /> closure of the Tiered Permit treatment units, and corrective action required at the <br /> Site. On June 21, 2004, DTSC issued a Corrective Action Consent Agreement <br /> Docket Number SRPD SCC-02/03 to oversee the required corrective action at <br /> the Site. Tyco submitted a Preliminary Endangerment Assessment Workplan to <br /> DTSC to investigate soil and groundwater at the Site. In December 2005, Tyco <br /> sold the property to Mr. Pat Craig, and the property was leased to an engineering <br /> company, and brewery. <br /> e Printed on Recycled Paper <br />
