Foley, R.E.H.S.
Environmental Health Department, San Joaquin County
304 E. Weber Avenue
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
CC:
Re:
Dear Ms. Foley,
I would like to thank you for taking the time to meet with Gary Cummings this past
Wednesday to discuss various issues related to our recent inspection. I apologize for
not being present but I was unable to reschedule a doctor's appointment.
I met with Gary upon his return where he brought me up to speed on the meeting,
subjects covered, and the information you provided in response to our questions.
Based on Gary's comments, I feel that we now have a much better understanding of the
steps and procedures we need to follow in dealing with the various solid waste
accumulations at the Stockton facility. The information provided is also going to assist
us as we continue in the development of our "Waste Management Program" (I believe
Gary mention that we would like to present you with a capy for your evaluation prior to
signing it off).
Gary did mention to me that at this meeting, there was some concern about the lab that
we used for the analysis. Before turning our samples over to Wetlab, Inc. (Sparks, NV),
inquired as to there certification. I did this based on our conversation, as well as in
accordance with Title 22, that the lab selected must be California certified. I have
enclosed with this memo a copy and transmittal of their California certification.
I want to thank you once again for your cooperation and assistance as we endeavor to
resolve all outstanding issues. As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to
contact me.
