Modifications are needed for the personnel training records for this facility. During <br /> review of the 40 Hr. HAZWOPER training manual it was found that it does not address <br /> Title 22, California Code of Regulations. Provide proper hazardous waste training <br /> according to California laws and regulations to all appropriate employees. <br /> Mr. ©otiS we�, ow� w� CvP/+ ne"lol{k" re,6mr4i- <br /> j Cvr 60MD(k4V_ tNs� +o <br /> Facility in ust p rovide a flow c hart o f a 11 o f t heir p roccsses i ncluding t reatment a nd a t G <br /> what steps waste is added to the system and what specific wastes are added. r fttwiw4 <br /> Please submit the certification of return to compliance form signed and dated to our <br /> office with the required documentation by 9/28/02. _ <br /> Note: At the time of the inspection, samples were taken of the following waste streams: <br /> SCO 1-Diatomaceous earth from the filter cake press. <br /> SCO2 — Liquid/Soil in the crushed rocks in between the railroad tracks and T <br /> area. <br /> SC03 —Liquid in the containment drum from the leaking pump seal in the Control Room. <br /> Mr" p was �`"`'` + -A- *. ► sA '1ip,91. <br /> Observations: <br /> The following waste streams were noted: <br /> Used floor sweep/vermiculite. <br /> Waste oil. <br /> Diatomaceous sludge from the filter cake press. <br /> Waste water from storm drain pipeline. <br /> Spilled product on floor—Sodium Thiosulfate, HCL, Bleach. <br /> During the inspection, Richard Doss—Facility Manager stated "We take the mud and add <br /> Sodium Thiosulfate to remove the Chlorine, so we can put it back into the treatment <br /> process to get rid of it." <br /> When I asked what he does when he has a spill, Mr. Doss stated "We take material and <br /> add it to the spill to neutralize it and then dispose of it." <br /> A referral will be made to Cal-OSHA regarding unsafe working conditions in the bleach <br /> packaging area. <br /> Ins ector6C <br /> p ���-�� Received By <br />
