(2) is it listed? <br /> (3) is it characteristic? <br /> 262.12- EPA Identification Numbers <br /> (a) Generator must not treat, store, dispose of, or offer to transport, without <br /> having received an EPA ID#. <br /> SUBPART B - MANIFEST <br /> 262.2- General Requirements <br /> (a) must prepare manifest (EPA Form 8700-22) <br /> (b) designate one facility to handle the waste described <br /> (c) may designate one alternate facility- emergencies <br /> (d) transporter must return waste to generator if (b) or(c) are unable to receive waste <br /> 262.21 -Acquisition of Manifests <br /> (a) If the state to which the shipment is manifested (consignment state) supplies <br /> the manifest and requires its use, generator must use that manifest. <br /> (b) If consignment state does not supply manifest, but the generator's state <br /> supplies and requires its use, generator must use state's. <br /> (c) If neither state supplies, generator may obtain manifest from any source. <br /> 262.22 - Number of Copies <br /> Must consist of at least the number of copies which will provide the generator, <br /> each transporter, the designated facility, and one copy to be returned to generator. <br /> 262.23- Use of Manifest <br /> (a) The generator must: <br /> (1) sign manifest by hand <br /> (2) obtain handwritten signature of initial transporter and date of acceptance <br /> (3) retain one copy, then give remaining copies to transporter <br /> SUBPART C - PRE-TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS <br /> 262.30 - Packaging <br /> 262.31 - Labeling <br />
