Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Re: Notification of Fixed Treatment Unit Operation <br /> Dear Sir: <br /> Indy Electronics, Inc. , operating as Olin Interconnect <br /> Technologies, at 400 Industrial Park Drive in Manteca, CA is <br /> applying for a fixed treatment unit (FTU) permit under the new <br /> Permit by Rule (PBR) regulations. A variance application was <br /> previously submitted to the Department of Toxic Substances Control <br /> (DTSC) for operation of the existing system. This variance <br /> application has not yet been processed by DTSC. <br /> The facility discharges process wastewater through a wastewater <br /> treatment system where the effluent is PH adjusted and metals are <br /> precipitated. The precipitated sludge is dewatered through a <br /> filter press. The liquid supernatant is recycled back into the <br /> waste treatment system; the filter cake is sent to an offsite <br /> metals recovery facility as a F006 sludge.
