o � <br /> Aside from the above mentioned waste streams, Ind time generation of molding <br /> compound with Antimony waste, between 1988 and 1 S CI, c., of Union City, CA, hauled <br /> this waste to Grassy Mt., Utah. <br /> In November of 1988, this facility did a groundwater site assessment. Trichlorethylene (TCE) was <br /> discovered at a concentration of 5.2 ppb in the ground water. Although,Indy claims no responsibility <br /> for this problem, they intend to monitor the situation. They have six monitoring wells on site and <br /> will begin monitoring TCE levels in 1991. 5 " � 1 k�i i <br /> J <br /> VDI. VIOLATIONS: <br /> No violations were observed at the time inspection. A routine inspection will be conducted yearly, <br /> hereafter,to monitor continuing compliance with the pertinent hazardous waste generator regulations. <br /> VDI. OBSERVATIONS: <br /> Bill Snavely and I arrived at approximately 10:00 am and met Mike Davis. We viewed all health and <br /> safety, contingency plan, material safety data sheets, manifests, reports, and any other pertinent <br /> records. <br /> Mike Davis then escorted as through the plant and explained the various procedures and processes <br /> of the facility. We observed the plating process, laboratory, cleaning, and optical inspection areas. <br /> Next we exited this building and entered a structure (shed) where all the hazardous waste is stored. <br /> In this labeled and locked shed there were 55 gallon drums labeled and neatly organized according <br /> to the waste stream categories. <br /> IX. DISCUSSION WITH THE MANAGEMENT: <br /> After touring the entire plant Mike Davis, Bill Snavely and I went to the conference room. We <br /> discussed the inspection and informed him that an inspection report would be sent upon completion. <br /> Mr.Davis was very cooperate and stated he would continue to work on complying with the Hazardous <br /> Waste Control Regulations. After our discussion Mr. Snavely and I concluded the inspection and <br /> we departed. <br /> 3 <br />
