SOIL SAMPLING PLAN
WASTE TREATMENT INPUT LINE
INDY ELECTRONICS INC.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this plan is to outline the steps to be
taken by Indy Electronics and Twining Laboratories, for
the sampling of the soil beneath the underground line
leading from the Tin Plate area to the present Waste
Water Treatment System.
This line is located 5 feet deep, directly beneath the
area designated for the new Waster Water Treatment System.
The cement pad and containment system for this system cannot
be constructed until this underground line has been removed.
SAMPLING:
The sampling will be conducted by:
Twining Laboratories , Inc .
1405 Granite Lane, Suite 1
Modesto, Ca. 95351
( 209 ) 523 - 0994
1 . The line will be excavated, by the contractor .
2. A surface sample will be taken every five feet along the
length of the pipe bed. These samples will be combined
into one composite sample.
3. Three soil samples will be taken ( see attached diagram
for locations ) , to a depth of three feet below the pipe
bed. Testing will be done on the first foot of these
three samples. If tests are negative, no further testing
will be needed . A positive reading will require the
second foot of the three samples to be tested. If needed
the third foot could be tested.
4 . After the samples have been taken, the trench will be
covered with plastic until the samples have been analyzed
and approval from the county or state has been given to
proceed . Following this approval , construction of the
cement pad and containment system will proceed according
to the construction schedule.
