D. Waste Disposal
1. Describe in detail all pretreatment systems including chemical quantities
used:
NAOH Solution is pumped into the diverted flow when PH is less than 6.8. This
solution and diverted waste water flow s back to the intercept tank. It is
then pumped back to the sensing tank where PH is monitored. If the PH is too lov
it will stay diverted until PH is over 6.8, thesis diverted to City drain for
s•
discharge. A flow meter is attached to monitor flow rate to City drain.
2. Estimated influent and effluent waste water characteristics:
Mostly tin plating chemical wastes (Tin b Lead) and chemical preclean .
by-products (Chlorides, sulfates, copper, nickel, iron) and chemical stripping
byproducts (flourides, small amounts of cyanide) .
3. Ultimate sludge disposal plans:
N/A
,
-5-
