Evacuation and emergency procedures for fires or other incidents in which <br /> evacuation is appropriate <br /> (1) Upon recognition of the emergency or as instructed by a responsible person, {_ <br /> evacuate quickly—without running—to the nearest exit specified in safety <br /> training or in the facility diagram posted. Use an alternate route if the nearest one <br /> is blocked. Do not use elevators. <br /> (2). Proceed to the assembly area and stay there until accounted for and authorized to <br /> leave the premises,/'Assembly area(s)are the following locations: <br /> Parking lot in front of main office entrance. <br /> (3) Do not return to the workplace until authorized. <br /> 4. Earthquake or civil disturbance in which evacuation is not appropriate <br /> (1) Remain calm. Do not attempt to evacuate. <br /> (2) Find shelter under a desk or sturdy table. A doorway may provide some shelter if <br /> a piece of furniture is not immediately available. <br /> (3) Avoid places where objects may fall from overhead storage or near outside walls <br /> and windows. <br /> (4) Follow instructions from responsible persons. <br /> 143 <br />
