APPENDIX 3 <br /> Service Center Emernenev Action Plan <br /> 3z 37 <br /> Fires <br /> 1) If, or when, a fire breaks out within the Service Center area, the person discovering the fire should <br /> immediately notify the supervisor on-duty. If necessary, the supervisor on-duty will immediately <br /> activate the fire alarm notification system to initiate employee evacuation, and if applicable, will <br /> notify the Fire Department at <br /> Z) The supervisor on duty will direct the removal of all equipment from the fire area if it can be done <br /> safely. <br /> 3) No employee shall use a fire extinguisher unless they arc designated and trained in the use of this <br /> equipment. <br /> HazMat <br /> Any employee who discovers a hazardous material spill or chemical spill is to immediately notify the <br /> supervisor on-duty. The supervisor on-duty will notify employees by the P.A. (public address) system or <br /> by some other means if evacuation is necessary. <br /> Weather& Other Emergencies <br /> For weather emergencies or other emergencies, foIIow directions given by supervisor. <br /> Medical Assistance <br /> The supcn icor on-duty will contact 91I if emergency medical assistance is required. <br /> Bloodborne Pathogens <br /> If an employee is injured and blood or other potentially infectious body material is released. do not <br /> touch the material. Pathogenic microorganisms that are present in human blood can cause disease in <br /> humans (Hepatitis B or C and HIV). The emergency medical technicians will provide material clean-up. <br /> Emergency Directions/Rcsoonsibilities <br /> I) Depending on the emergency, when necessary, the supervisor on-duty will supervise the orderly <br /> evacuation of all personnel to the employee parkin*lot or other designated refuge area. Tlic <br /> supervisor on-duty will notify ail employees by the P.A. system or by some other means when it is <br /> necessary to evacuate. <br /> �) If cv acuation of the building is necessary, leave in an orderly manner, follow the safety cross walk <br /> and report to the employee parking lot or other designated refuge arca.
