Driver Joe DESCRIPnoN Essential Functions: • Responsible for pick-up of residential/commerdal/industrial waste. • Perform spot-checking of waste containers to verify that no unacceptable waste is present. • Perform curbside used oil &used oil/fuel filter pick-up activities. • Transferring of curbside used oil &used oil/fuel filters from collection vehicle to storage tanks. • Small spill clean-up activities as necessary following WM policies/procedures. • Attend weekly/monthly environmental/safety trainings&meetings Training • SPCC plan and Spill Prevention/Response Training (initial &annual) • Hazard Communication Program(initial &annual) • Emergency Action Plan • DOT requirements and procedures(initial &annual) • Hazardous Materials/Waste Training; to include Hazardous Material Business Plan &Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan (initial &annual) • Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (initial &annual) • Injury Illness&Prevention Program (initial &annual) • Energy Control Program (initial &annual) Education, Skills, and Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records. Must have a Class A or B CDL with airbrakes endorsement valid for the state in which you are applying to work in. At least 1 year of pervious experience operating a vehicle requiring a commercial driver's license (CDL). Successfully pass pre-employment(post offer)drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check and Department of Transportation Physical. Clear driving record. Ability to perform pushing, pulling, kneeing, bending, twisting and lifting up to 75 lbs throughout the shift with our without reasonable accommodations. As well as climb into and out of the truck repeatedly.
