i •
Engineer's Certification'
Hazardous Waste Oil Tank Assessment Report
Stockton Scavenger Facility
Waste Management,Inc.
1240 Navy Drive
Stockton, California 95206
The undersigned State of California Registered Professional Engineer performed a site visit to
visually assess the Hazardous Waste Oil Tank, conduct interviews and to review related
documents provided by Waste Management, Inc., (WMI). The tank of concern temporarily stores
used oil collected during vehicle maintenance at WMI's Stockton Scavenger Facility in
Stockton, California.
Based on personal observations, it is the opinion of the undersigned Registered Professional
Engineer that the Hazardous Waste Oil Tank at the WMI facility in Lodi, California, was
designed and being operated in accordance with good engineering practices and applicable
industry standards.
The certification provided by the undersigned professional engineer attests that the Hazardous
Waste Tank Assessment Report provided for review is adequate and believed to be a true and
accurate representation of the existing Hazardous Waste Oil Tank system design, structural
strength, and compatibility with the wastes to be stored in the tank.
This certification provided by the undersigned professional engineer does not constitute a
guarantee or warranty of the Hazardous Waste Oil Tank. It is critical that the tank be inspected,
operated, tested, maintained and repaired as necessary by WMI to continue to meet requirements
of good engineering practices and industry standards,
QppfES
Michael S.
