0 • <br /> • SILGAN CONTAINERS CORPORATION, STOCKTON CALIFORNIA <br /> JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HAZARDOUS WASTE & MATERIALS MANAGEMENT <br /> Applicable Positions: #6 <br /> WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR SHIPPING CLERK <br /> RCRA-RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> • Insure that all policies and procedures related to hazardous material and waste, including <br /> health and safety, are strictly adhered to by all department employees on a daily basis. <br /> • Provide guidance to departmental employees concerning information about wastestreams <br /> generated within the department and the hazards associated with waste chemicals. <br /> • Provide guidance to departmental employees of proper plant routine waste management <br /> procedures. <br /> • Insure that all employees in the department are aware of and follow the Plant Emergency <br /> Procedures manual in the event of a plant emergency. <br /> • Facilitate immediate contact of an Emergency Response Coordinator in the event of a <br /> hazardous waste or hazardous material spill or emergency generating hazardous wastes. <br /> • <br /> SKILLS EDUCATION, OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: <br /> • High school or college education, or equivalent work experience. <br /> • Supervision capabilities demonstrated by work experience in a supervisory capacity. <br /> • Effective communication skills. <br /> • Knowledge or proper hazardous waste handling, storage, and labeling procedures. <br /> • Familiar with emergency operation procedures and implementation. <br /> • Receives and participates in the HMIS training developed for the plant. <br /> • Maintain a working knowledge of the proper use of personal protection equipment and <br /> company safety procedures for handling hazardous wastes. <br /> • Receives and participates in initial and annual hazardous waste management training as <br /> described within the Corporation's Hazardous Waste Management training program outline. <br /> 8 <br />
