Yes No Comment <br /> Empty Containers <br /> 66261.7 <br /> Except as provided in 25143.2(d) (5) , 66264.1(g) (4) , <br /> 66265.1(d) (8) , 66262.70, and 66261.7(d) , (e) , and <br /> (f) , does the generator handle containers, or <br /> inner liners removed from containers, which are <br /> empty as defined in 66261.7(b)* as a hazardous <br /> waste unless managed pursuant to 66261.7(c) <br /> (see below)? (66261.7(a) ] <br /> * 66261.7(b) says that a container, or inner liner removed from a container, which <br /> previously held a hazardous material is empty if it meets the following criteria: <br /> (1) The container, or inner liner removed from a container is empty as defined in 40 CFR <br /> 261.7(b) , and, <br /> (2) The container or the inner liner removed frcen a container has been emptied by the <br /> generator as much as possible using common methods, so that: <br /> (A) If the material previously held is pourable, no material can be poured or drained <br /> from the container or liner when held in any orientation, or <br /> (B) If the material previously held is not pourable, no material or waste remains that <br /> can be feasibly removed by scraping and chipper. <br /> Does the generator handle empty containers or <br /> inner liners removed from a container which <br /> previously held a hazardous material by: <br /> (66261.7(c)-) <br /> (1) For containers or inner liners of five gals. <br /> or less, by destroying to prevent reuse and <br /> disposing of it at a solid waste facility?, or <br /> (2) For any container or liner, by destroying <br /> to prevent further use, and reclaiming its <br /> scrap value?, or <br /> (3) For any container or liner, by reconditioning <br /> or remanufacturing the container or liner on-site <br /> Pursuant to 49 CFR 173.28 for reuse, or shipping <br /> it to a person who does so? <br /> Does the generator handle the following containers <br /> as HW: (66261.7(f)-) <br /> (1) Containers made of wood, paper, cardboard, <br /> fabric, or other absorptive material if in <br /> direct contact with a hazardous material? <br /> (2) Spent aerosol containers? <br /> (3) COMPressed gas cylinders which cannot be <br /> reused? <br /> Revised 7/15/91 ?age 38 <br />
